Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 2026
At Ohana, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, volunteers, and the school communities we serve. This policy outlines how we handle your data in compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal personal information necessary to facilitate donations and keep you updated on our mission. This may include your name and email address if you contact us.
2. Amazon Wishlist Data
OHANA uses Amazon Wishlists to facilitate direct-to-school donations. When you purchase an item via our wishlist:
- We do not see your credit card information or billing details.
- We only receive the information Amazon provides to gift recipients (typically your name and the item purchased, unless you choose to remain anonymous).
- Shipping info is managed by Amazon to ensure the item reaches the designated school facility directly.
3. Data Usage & Security
We do not sell, rent, or lease our donor lists to third parties. Data is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling our mission and providing tax receipts (where applicable).
